Serge Betsen (born March 25, 1974, in Kumba, Cameroon) is a former French rugby union player renowned for his exceptional skills as a flanker. Betsen moved to France at the age of nine and began his rugby career with Club Sportif de Clichy. He later joined Biarritz Olympique, where he played from 1996 to 2008, winning three French championships. In 2008, he moved to London Wasps, where he played until his retirement in 2012.

Internationally, Betsen earned 63 caps for France between 1997 and 2007, scoring 45 points. He was a key player in France's Grand Slam victories in the Six Nations Championship in 2002 and 2004. Known for his fierce tackling and high work rate, Betsen was nicknamed "La Faucheuse" (The Grim Reaper) for his defensive prowess.

After retiring from professional rugby, Betsen founded the Serge Betsen Academy, a charity aimed at providing education and rugby training to underprivileged children in Cameroon.

Kim represented Hong Kong in the HKRU Senior Women's XVs squad to play in international test matches from 2006-2012. She was also the first woman to receive the Jack Kelly Award for the Hong Kong Football Club Rugby Person of the Year in 2014. Kim actively promoted women's rugby as the Director of Womens Ruby at the Hong Kong Rugby Union from 2019 - 2022.

Lao Khang is a prominent rugby coach and player in Laos, where she was pivotal in helping to launch ChildFund Pass It Back, a Sport for Development project supported by Asia Rugby and World Rugby. She manages more than 40 coaches who are leading over 70 teams across three districts in the province of Xieng Khouang, and over half of all the coaches and players are female. In honor of her achievements, she was named on the BBC 100 Women 2018.

Andrew Mehrtens was a bolter selection for the All Blacks in 1995, playing in the Rugby World Cup in South Africa losing in the final.
Over the ensuing 10 seasons, Mehrtens amassed 967 points in 70 test matches for New Zealand and played in a second World Cup in 1999.
Domestically, Mehrtens was a member of the successful Crusaders franchise from New Zealand’s South Island, helping the team win five Super Rugby titles. He also played over 100 matches for provincial side Canterbury, winning national titles on three occasions and the famous Ranfurly Shield also three times.

Mehrtens signed for Harlequins in 2005 and won the English 2nd division with the London club, before also winning 2nd division titles in France with Toulon and Racing Metro, before finishing his career with a French third-division title for Beziers.

After his rugby career he has held several roles in financial services in Sydney, as well as continuing a connection with rugby through commentary work which has seen him involved in the match broadcasts of the last five World Cups.

Now living in Paris, Mehrtens still appears as a pundit on rugby shows in both French and English and recently become part-owner and President of the Beziers club at which he played.

Justin "Sambo" Sampson is an Australian sports television personality, professional speaker and former rugby union player. Sampson has played representative rugby with New South Wales Country and North Harbour. He was an accomplished rugby coach, having coached the Singapore and the Indonesian national teams and has traveled worldwide conducting coaching clinics, fundraising activities and other events to help promote the sport of rugby. He is also a rugby commentator and presenter covering international matches on networks such as ESPN Star Sports and ABC TV (Australia).

Simon Shaw MBE is one of England’s most accomplished rugby players, boasting a career spanning over two decades at the highest level. A towering lock, he earned 71 caps for England and competed in three Rugby World Cup campaigns (1999, 2003, 2007) A winner in 2003 and Finalist in 2007.

At club level, Shaw was a dominant force for London Wasps and later Toulon, securing an incredible 13 domestic and European titles, including multiple Premiership and Heineken Cup victories. His leadership and consistency were recognized when he was named Players’ Player of the Year for the 2003/04 season. He also represented the British & Irish Lions on three tours (1997, 2005, 2009), famously earning Man of the Match in the second Test against South Africa in 2009.

Beyond rugby, Shaw is deeply committed to philanthropy. He is President of Love of the Game, an advocate for player welfare, and the inventor of the Atlas Foundation Digibus, bringing education to underserved communities. He is also involved with In My Locker, School of Hard Knocks, and numerous other charitable initiatives, using his platform to support grassroots sports, youth development, and concussion awareness.
