Jeremy has been at JLL for 34 years, starting in HK in 1990, before which he was based in the UK from 1986, with a former company. He is presently in charge of Office Leasing, transaction management and Client partnerships for APAC. He sits on the APAC board, the global IT SteerCo, and the Global Leasing Executive.
Over that time he has worked in various different roles, from Tenant representation in HK, then through APAC, to becoming the Business Development Director for all corporate clients, and then moving to NYC to start an International BD function in 2006 working for the global CEO. In 2009, he moved back to HK. He is responsible for Office Leasing and corporate client management for APAC, reporting to the APAC CEO. He has been focused on a series of business transformation initiatives that have included: Data Center leasing, a single APAC operating platform and Database system for the 14 country region, different operating leasing structures in India, China and SEA as well as sponsoring various standalone technology roll-outs.
Charlie Butcher is Chair, Policy Council at the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, and a member of the General Committee.
He joined HSBC as Managing Director, and Head - Group Public Affairs, Asia Pacific, in December 2021. He brings over 20 years of experience in politics, consulting and in-house public affairs roles in the US and Asia. Prior to joining HSBC, Charlie worked in regional public affairs roles for multinational companies in pharmaceuticals (Merck, GlaxoSmithKline), fast-moving consumer goods (Estee Lauder), and agrichemicals (Syngenta). Charlie started his career during the 1990s as a political advisor in Sydney, Australia, working on local, state and federal election campaigns, and in the offices of Shadow Ministers and Opposition Leaders.
Paul McComb is the Executive Director of the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, bringing a wealth of experience and a strong track record in business and commercial leadership. With a career spanning over three decades, Paul has held several high-profile roles that underscore his expertise in trade, investment, and international business relations.
Before joining the British Chamber of Commerce, Paul served as the Director-General of Trade and Investment at the British Consulate-General in Hong Kong from 2017 to 2021. In this role, he was instrumental in fostering trade relations between the UK and Hong Kong, driving significant investment initiatives, and supporting UK businesses in navigating the complexities of international markets.
Paul’s extensive experience also includes his tenure in the UK, where he played a pivotal role in helping businesses adjust to new trading dynamics post-Brexit and addressing the economic impacts of global events such as the war in Ukraine1. His strategic insights and ability to manage complex commercial environments have been key to his success.
Since taking on the role of Executive Director at the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, Paul has been actively involved in enhancing the Chamber’s support for its members. He has spearheaded numerous events and initiatives aimed at promoting business growth and fostering a collaborative business community. His leadership is characterized by a proactive approach to understanding and addressing the needs of the Chamber’s diverse membership base.
