On 30th October, the new Labour Government unveiled its first Budget. The Chancellor announced major changes to the UK's fiscal rules and increased taxes by a record £40 billion, alongside sharing plans for major investment in the public sector. Overall, it's a big Budget that will have long-lasting ramifications to British expats and those with UK ties.
There were several significant policy updates, including changes to Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax, introducing pension death benefits and new tax reliefs, changes to Stamp Duty Land Tax and also non-UK domicile scheme replacements.
